Be #CoupleGoals and do good, together.

At forgood, our 2018 featured many high points. One of the best was the amount of volunteers who were rated highly by our Causes. We like to consider these do-gooders our Top Volunteers, the people out there doing good while doing it well, too.

Recently, we asked this network of social citizens three questions, hoping to find some more answers to the why’s, how’s and what’s about forgood that keeps them coming back. What we were looking for was a bit of inspiration – just a little something that we could share with you to keep you going. There was one response in particular that stuck out to us, and needless to say, I think we found it! Moreover, who knew that it would leave us feeling all #CoupleGoals at the same time.

Why do you think volunteering is important?

“We’re all on this earth for a limited time. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could all have a fulfilling experience whilst we’re here? It breaks my heart to see the extreme inequality that exists in our world. If we have the opportunity to share what we have with those around us, we shouldn’t hesitate; no matter how big or small the gesture is.”

How has using forgood helped you help Causes?

“Before finding forgood, I was eager to get involved – either by donating or volunteering. However, I had no idea where to begin. I had no idea who was in need, what was needed, where to find those in need, or how I could really be of assistance. We always assume money would be the easiest and most needed – this is rarely the case. I was reading a magazine one day, where I learnt about  forgood, and gave it a look shortly after. I have been using it ever since.”

What is a story you could share with us about volunteering?

“My husband and I have recently begun volunteering for the Dynamic Development Programme. We’ve never done anything like this before – we are teaching those in need how to use computers for the first time. It really has been the most enlightening experience. It’s so humbling to discover how many things we take for granted in our everyday lives.”

It’s stories and experiences like these that help to inspire us to do what we do and we hope you feel the same way. If you have a story you’d like to share about volunteering, we’d love to hear it. Comment below or feel free to send us an email at You never know who you might inspire!
